Colleen Clapper was born with congenital complications and has been close to dying multiple times. She has endured date rape, the death of her first daughter, the loss of another child because of a corrupt adoption agency, had family members involved in a fatal car roll-over, was $900,000.00 in medical debt, and many more trials. Yet, God has provided the grace and joy for her to get out of bed every morning and enjoy life. As a therapist, Colleen has worked in prison and endeavored to bring hope to the hopeless. As a youth worker, her desire has been to help make a difference in the lives of many young people. She has even been a pageant winner and used that platform to speak to people about inner beauty.
Colleen Clapper has her M.S. in Art Therapy from Northern Illinois University and has been doing crisis counseling with different populations for over 22 years. She has given motivational speeches at various organizations, churches, businesses, and schools and has appeared on television shows such as Overcoming the Odds with Chris Alexander. Colleen has been part of various ministries such as Just Give Me Jesus Chicago with Anne Graham Lotz and Joni and Friends Special Needs Ministry.
Colleen and her husband, Jim, live in Illinois with their three children.

"For 15 years of existence of our church we didn't have situation, when the child was taken by our Father and ...we didn't have guests, who would plan to share such testimonies. And now they came, to share... (they didn't know about this happened!) All church was in tears." Pastor Piotr Ozana Polznan Poland
"Colleen Clapper has a true heart for God! Her inspirational and educated speaking ability outweighs her small cute frame! She has a fire and passion to relate to this day and age a desire to educate those who are lost, hurting, and not sure of the path they need to follow. Colleen delves into issues the church needs to speak of in a healing way. Colleen's words are a balm to our weary souls, she brings God's word to live in our hearts in a very real and understandable way! We had the pleasure of being blessed with Colleen as our speaker at our women's retreat here in Colorado. She was well received and loved by many, her inspirational speeches were absolutely what we all needed to hear and helped start a healing in the hearts of many women and their walk with Christ!
I praise God for Colleen and her excitement to encourage others to a sweeter walk with Jesus!"

"Colleen Sullivan Clapper is a gifted writer. This reader was able to identify with her as she took me through many adventures, always giving her Lord the credit, never writing in a condescending way. I recommend this book highly for it tells how ordinary Christians can have a vital relationship with the living God."
~Pam Rosewell Moore Author of The Five Silent Years of Corrie Ten Boom, Safer than a Known Way, and other books
"From Chicagoan wife and mother to prison art therapist to California pageant winner? Told from an autobiographical perspective, this is a book about where God can take you if you're willing to let Him use you anywhere, anytime, in good times and bad, to show His love. The beautiful rainbow on the cover combined with the unusual, humorous title are indicative of what awaits inside this heartfelt work. Clapper's personal experiences range from the familiar to the bizarre, and are all expressed in a very relatable way that helps the reader to open him/herself up to be who they are in Christ, regardless of, or perhaps I should say, even through their circumstances. This reader was touched deeply and encouraged greatly. I highly recommend it." ~S. M.
"Hi Colleen: I wanted to tell you I enjoyed your book so much that you wrote! I passed mine on to my physical therapist whose parents were recently in a bad car accident and by all means should not have survived it but did. I hope it is an inspiration to her as well!" ~ Chris P.
"Your book was absolutely amazing as you shared your journey first with ' Elizabeth's Home' going to be with Jesus, through your many physical conditions and members of your family that also went Home to be with Jesus. Well done!!!!" ~ D.W.
"I have just started reading your book and have read the first 2 chapters - it is a page-turner. I have so enjoyed your story of how God connected you and Jim. You have a beautiful writing style.
The first chapter really ripped me apart. I work in youth ministry at Christ Fellowship and talk to girls about date rape, but it seems my words are falling on deaf ears. They do not realize how fast it can happen, how innocent you truly can be in the issue, and how impossible it can be to get away because of the sheer strength of a man. They simply don't believe it could ever happen to them. Perhaps your writing would speak clearer than I can about this . . . somehow, when something is in print, it is more believable. You are very courageous to share this. I pray God will use your book for His kingdom." ~ Celeste Li
"Colleen, what a life story, and you're only half way through it! Truly an inspirational book. I cannot believe all that you've been through already."
~D.S.
"Looking forward to reading the next one, although I can't stop reading the first book...over and over~ Thank you for the first book! YOU ARE AN AMAZING WOMEN AND ANGEL OF GOD!" Suzanne C.
